Acceptance: The first part is to accept what has happened to you. It happened, it hurt and there is nothing you can do change that fact. This step is important because you will never be able to move past this if you can't accept the fact that it happened.  

Understanding: This is probably the last thing that you want to do, but it's crucial that you try to understand the perception of the person who hurt you. In my experience, hurt people hurt people. If you can understand that the person who hurt you is a hurt person themselves, it will help you move forward. More than likely it could have been anyone, so even though it happened to you. Try not to take it personal. The experience was not because of you, it was because of them.
